“…well it all began in 1981 when my parents, who made me, named me Jason Patrick Meyers. The website wasn’t taken yet, so jasonpatrickmeyers.com is my long name I guess,” says Jason Meyers, member of local Cleveland band, Red Water Rojo. He and his fellow musicians Cassie Wheelock and Laura Simna stopped in to visit Eric and I last Monday, October 18^th, to give us a sneak peak of some new solo stuff Jason has planned for the future.

What are Jason’s hair brained new plans you ask?

“I’m going for more of a rootsy, Americana country angle,” Jason replied. “The members of Red Water Rojo and I will always be a band as long as we’re all still around, but right now, I need to put myself out there and just do some stuff on my own.”

Jason, Cassie and Laura performed “What If,” a song that Jason wrote about four years ago, in studio with us. Jason picked the guitar and belted some vocals along side Cassie while Laura played the violin.
