From the East
Via the Ohio Turnpike (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C.), exit the Ohio Turnpike at Gate 187; follow I-480 West to I-271 North. Continue with directions from I-271

Via I-90 (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, New York City, and New England), take I-90 West to I-271 South (Local Lanes, not Express). Continue with directions from I-271

Via I-480 (Youngstown), take I-480 West to I-271 North. Continue with directions from I-271


From the Local East Side Suburbs
Take I-271. Continue with directions from I-271


From the West
Via the Ohio Turnpike (Toledo, Detroit, Chicago), exit the Ohio Turnpike at Gate 151; follow I-480 East to I-271 North. Continue with directions from I-271


From the Local West Side Suburbs
Take I-71 North to I-480 East; follow I-480 East to I-271 North, or take I-90 East to I-271 South (Local Lanes, not Express). Continue with directions from I-271


From the South (via I-77 or I-71)
Via I-71 (Akron, Columbus, Cincinnati), take I-71 North to I-271 North. Continue with directions from I-271

From Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Take I-480 East to I-271 North. Continue with directions from I-271


From downtown Cleveland
Take Carnegie Ave. East to Cedar Hill; follow the traffic under the bridge and up the hill, staying in the right-hand lane; at the top of the hill bear right on to Cedar Rd. and then get into the middle lane and follow Cedar Rd. all the way in to South Belvoir Blvd. (approximately 4 miles); take right on South Belvoir, travel 0.3 miles (go through 2 stop signs), and the South Belvoir entrance to campus will be on your right. If the South Belvoir entrance is closed, continue on Belvoir to Fairmount Blvd. (next traffic light); take a right on Fairmount and take the first right on Hadleigh Rd.; follow Hadleigh veering left at the fork to the first stop sign; continue straight, this is Carroll Blvd. The entrance to campus will be on your right. At either entrance gate, inform the Safety Service representative that you are visiting the Office of Admission and he/she will direct you to visitor or available parking.


From I-271
Take I-271 (Local Lanes, not Express) to Exit 32 (Cedar/Brainard Rd.); follow Cedar Rd. West for 2.5 miles (pass Beachwood Mall on your left) to South Belvoir Blvd.; take left on South Belvoir, travel 0.3 miles (go through 2 stop signs), and the South Belvoir entrance to campus will be on your right. John Carroll University is easily accessible by RTA trains and buses. Our campus is approximately 1 mile from both the Belvoir and Warrensville train stations on the Green Line, and only a 20-minute train ride away from downtown. John Carroll is served by a number of nearby RTA bus stops, as well. Please see the RTA web site for more details.
